Great for the price
Simply put, you can't go wrong with a laptop like this for home use. And with a price tag under $500, it's a no-brainer. The only drawback here, like with many vendors today, is the sheer amount of useless bloatware installed on the machine. It's pretty obscene the number of processes that start on boot-up. So you'll have to waste some time untangling the mess, but that's just how it is these days.

A Great Value for the Money
This is the 2nd Dell laptop that I've owned and I'm quite pleased with it after 2 months of daily use. It runs much more quiet (fan & DVD drive)and cooler compared to the HP laptop that it replaced. I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone who asks.

Great for the price
Purchased this laptop around Black Friday and am overall pleased with the value it offers. I really like the bluetooth connectivity and HDMI output. The display is wide and crisp. Battery life on this thing could be better, though. On the''Balanced'' settings with minimum screen brightness and quick screen dim times, I get right around 3 hours unplugged with simple web browsing. Watching videos diminishes battery life an extra 45 min-1 hr. On the keyboard, my quotations key requires 2 pushes to register. When this happens, I end up with double quotes ('''') instead of of one. This is kind of annoying but not a big deal as I seldom use quotes anyway when typing. The DVD drive also makes a weird noise as if it is reading a disc every time I do something that requires extra hard drive activity. In particular, it occurs when I play music or am watching a movie stored on my computer. It is strange and something I will perhaps contact tech support about in the future.

Great deal!
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. Definitely worth the $490. It had Windows which he wanted, a fast processor, lots of memory and a hard drive with a lot of space. He is very happy and it is working fast and great. He noticed it doesn't get hot like his Dell Inspiron 1525 did, which was VERY hot in his lap! I would recommend this laptop.
