No problems at all with setup. System booted first time and the BIOS application is really nice.

a bit of a pain
First motherboard wouldn't come up at all and second wouldn't either until I fiddled with the memory and, voila, it worked. Why it wouldn't come up immediately I have no idea. ALSO THE ASUS BIOS CONTROL SOFTWARE CRASHED AND THE ONLY WAY TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM WAS TO REFORMAT THE DISK AND START OVER. THIS WAS HALF-WAY THROUGH RELOADING MY SOFTWARE. THAT PART WAS FLAT-OUT UNACCEPTABLE. I'M SO AFRAID OF THAT SOFTWARE THAT I HAVEN'T GONE ONLINE AND DOWNLOADED THE LATEST VERSION ..... FOR FEAR OF WHAT IT COULD DO. Otherwise, it's all right. A few issues lingering I haven't had time to resolve. But no omparison between this board and the Sabertooth I bought about six months back.

My first build
This was my first time upgrading my computer. Everything went in great and had no problems with the install. So far everything on it works great I would buy another if needed.

HALF GOOD AND HALF BAD
HALF OF THEM WORK AND HALF DONT ITS ABOUT HALF THE TIME. I CAN TELL WHO EVER CARES THAT IF YOUR NOT GETTING A PICTURE YOU HAVE A BAD MEMORY SLOT AND THE BOARD WILL NEED TO BE CHANGED. FORGET CLEARING THE CMOS. I HAD THE LAST ONE WORK WITH MEMORY IN SLOT 0 OR 1 AND NOT WORK WITH MEMOPRY IN SLOT 2 OR 3. GO FIGURE. ITS A COOL BOARD IF YOU GET A GOOD ONE. GREAT FOR A HTPC THE INTEGRATED GRAPHICS ARE KICKIN. IVE JUST HAD TWO BAD ONES IN A ROW, AFTER ABOUT 8 GOOD ONES. DONT FORGET TO FUSS WITH THE BUTTON THAT LOCATES YOUR MEMORY SPEED IT WILL BE BLINKING RED NEXT TO THE MEMORY STICKS. THAT WORKS ALOT OF THE TIME AND I FIND HIGHER LATENCY IS BEST. 27 NOT 24 OR 21.

Good MB
Good for IDE drives and trying out the built-in graphics of your CPU. ASUS has an easy-to-use BIOS too. A lot of internet and forum sources say that this MB is not overclockable; but I use this along with a core i7-2600K and I can overclock to 3.6ghz right now (with Turbo Boost), with the RAM at 1400mhz. This board is perfect for someone who doesn't want to overclock too much, like me. Plus, I like the fact that we can try out the internal graphics. Just make sure to have good ventilation in the case.
