You get what you pay for
We bought this doorbell simply because it was the least expensive we could find. And the product totally reflects that. It's quick and easy to install, but doesn't have many options for the sound and also does not do well with the speaker being farther from the door than like 10 feet. Good thing you can hear anything through my house; if it was more soundproof we couldn't hear it downstairs. But, it works much better than no doorbell.
