Impressed for low cost speaker system
I purchased 2 sets of these speakers primarily to aid in meeting presentations when using my lap top. I also used with flat screen HDTV. I found the speakers to have more than enough audio for a meeting of 15-20 people. Also the quality and volume were much more than the TV's built in speakers as I would expect, but the audio quality really enhanced the program viewing. The only negative, small neg, is on the main woofer unit the speaker was on the right and volume on the front and other connections on rear. The speaker being on the right did not make using in a book shelf with books that easy to use. For my needs of above I cannot think of what could be improved. ron

Value Buy
lacks features, but sound is well balanced needs separate volume control and treble control for stereo speakers loud enough for normal listening not a party machine

It works well
These speakers will do the job. Don't expect high quality sound, especially if you trying to fill a room, but this thing is loud enough and I haven't had any crackeling problems. The blue light on the front of the bass is too bright, and I wish the sound control was on one of the satellites, but at this price it is a great value.

Really Not Worth It
In short. The speakers and bass sub-woofer cant be controlled separately. The volume crackles when you adjust it or touch the wires to tweak it. And the sound quality itself is not that good.
