the best for my laptop
i have a 17 inch HP laptop that had begun to have heat issues - not anymore since acquiring this cooling pad - it fits nicely under the laptop and i can tell by feel that it makes the laptop run cooler - there are no more hotspots - i recommend this item to at least try it out and hope you have similar luck with yours - oh, i cant hear mine run but i can feel the breeze, NICE

Wasnt the right one
Wasnt the right type for my macbook. Didnt have any soft thing to place on my lap either.

Nice styling with poor performance
The fan looks nice and did cool my laptop, but within two days of use the fan started to make a grinding noise. This grinding noise was coming from one of the motors. It was not securely attached to the housing allowing the motor to vibrate inside the product. I have opted to return the fan and look for a better product.

great for the money
I bought one for my son and one for a friend. They work so well my son says it makes his lap cold due to the fan and his laptop runs hot. we're hoping that it lengthens the life of the laptop. well worth the cost.
