Cool Phone
This is my first phone of this type. You have to make sure you have access to a data plan the phone will not be useable. Once the phone verifies what it needs to then downloads the upgrade it works great. I am enjoying all the aps that are available.

First android phone
Wanted the latest android phone but opted to save money and go for this one. A few lessons learned: Phone needs to activate by signing onto google account. This will work first time having a sim card without data plan. Wanted to change accounts but didn't know how so did a factory reset. Could no-longer get past the activation screen without the data plan. Had to borrow a friends sim with data plan just to activate and then replace with my non-data sim. Works just fine using wifi to sync accounts and install apps. Android updates itself to 2.2.1. Works flawlessly with gmail, contacts, and calendar. Liked it so much, bought a second one for the spouse. Recommend to anyone. just be careful not to factory reset if you don't have a dataplan.

this is a great phone
Before you turn it on, make sure to have a Google gmail account, a T-Mobile 3G simcard and a wifi ready. It will be automatically upgraded to Android 2.2.1 which, unlike some people claimed, runs much better than the factory 1.6. After upgrading, disable 3G data connection, background data and all syncs in Setting, so you would not be charged for possible hidden 3G data usage. You can turn on wifi at any time. Angry Birds runs slow and unpleasant, however.
