Doesn't work with Windows 8
Contacted the supplier and they said they did not have a driver for Win 8 yet.

NIce product
Works as expected with my network, wired mouse, wireless keyboard, external monitor and new HP laptop. Only issue is that my computer guy was not able to run both of my printers successfully thru the StarTech. I have to plug one printer directly into a laptop USB.

Avoid this one if you have acer
Product did not work with Acer laptop. Monitor would be completely blank and only show cursor. Resolutions were changed and nothing. Installed new driver from website as directed by support and windows would no longer start. Had to boot to safe mode and uninstall. Product is being sent back. Apparently there is a known issue between it and acer laptop. Even with every service and startup item off it would not work. Must have to do with hardware.

So far so good!
I purchased this docking station for a Toshiba laptop and it was really simple to setup. Its day 1 using it and its working well. The downside was that I had to order it online since it wasn't in stock in the store and had to pay extra for shipping.
