Very bad quality.
I purchased this laptop for my wife. I was drawn to the sleek look and small form factor. It looks good, but within the first few days the plastic trim piece around the display warped and doesn't sit properly. Next came the issue with ''glow'' touchpad. It is overly sensitive and very cumbersome to navigate; it has the features you'd want but the execution is horrible. Compared to my old Lenovo and now HP, the touchpad of the Gateway is really bad. The battery won't charge more than 60% in less than 4 months and the power plug on the computer is loose. The quality is just not there and I'm greatly disappointed. As far as keyboard layout, the ''Home'', ''End'', ''Pg UP'' and ''Pg Dn'' can only be used with the ''Fn'' key making it a bear to navigate through web pages. Simply a bad design that I didn't think it would be an issue until you spend a few minutes on the web. All in all, I can't wait to get rid of this laptop. Very very disappointed.

Great deal for the money
It is so much lighter than my old laptop, twice as fast too. The keys are bigger than usual but I like them. They take a light touch. Sometimes the touchpad needs a firmer touch though. Glowing touchpad can be turned on or off. Overall, i would buy this laptop again, especially at the low, low price.

Good value
I have been playing the PC game since 1980 and continue to be amazed at what you can get for what you pay. This machine continues that tradition. The only complaint is the quality of the image on my 24 inch auxiliary monitor.

Great with only one drawback
Bought this for my husband for his birthday and performs well as my research would indicate, only flaw that he has mentioned is with the touchpad in that at times when using the keyboard he somehow manages to wipe out his text when brushing the touchpad (?). Other then that this is a nice looking, fast performing clean machine for the price!
