Installed in new build
Big improvement over my old xp system. Now running 8g ram, win 8 pro, Radian 6570 2g card, 120g SSD, MSI A55M-P33 MB. I think the SSD made the biggest difference in speed due to the fast read and write.

Disappointed
I thought these new APU chips were going to be it. I built a system with a great MSI board to replace my AM3 system. I love the system but it is not as fast as the old one. I may switch back to the old system. I have thought about getting an APU with more cores and see if that speeds me up but hate to spend all the extra money. Over all the APUs have been a big let down and are not getting the reviews I thought they would. Consider an AM3 instead.

a lot of people are missing out on a secret
The Secret? This processor has a built in Radeon graphics chip that allows you to pair it with an onboard ATI-AMD motherboard graphics chip (crossfire). Spend an extra hundred and pair it with an additional PCIe Graphics card (as recommended by AMD), and this combination will blow your sox off. You won't find a better deal for hundreds more. I combined a Radeon HD 6670 DDR5 (which is a recommend card) and I can't believe the processing power of this graphics combo. Throw in 16 gig of ram and an AMD ready motherboard and there will be no stopping you.

this chip runs really cool idle, you can throw a boatload of work at it and it keeps chugging away, good deal.
