Best product I ever owned!

Him using this on for a couple of months now... Never had a techno product that reliable and stable in my entire life... I is never down on the network! I tried smartware backups, time machine backups, FTP, WD2GO, media sharing .... Every feature is just perfect and does exactly what it should.... I would recommend this one to anyone !

It works fine

I recently bought and installed this for home use and I like the performance of the hard drive. It works as advertised. The only dislike for me is the Java plugin required for browsers to access the hard drive. Using Ipad or iphone is no problem. You must follow instructions carefully and be patient to set this up. I highly recommend it. No problem so far.

Works Great

Purchased the WD drive to back up files and access media. Setup was pretty easy and the access to media is a great. I have an Android & the wife has an iPhone. Both work great with this HD.

Good NAS

Bought this NAS as off site storage for small remote office. Easy to setup and administer, does not support domain auth like some other models. Performance is good though, can't beat the price.

Does Exactly What I Wanted

I attached it to our wireless router. A few simple prompting questions and it was done. Now the 3 users here can store data we all need to see and use on a common drive. Will be creating some login ids and exploring more functionality but for right now this will be a great time saver at a price that didn't hurt.

Slower than advertised

Although it technically does connect to all devices as stated, it is SLOWER than what the specs state. using WD2GO it's works too slow to be able to efficiently transfer files remotely, which was a primary selling point of the writeup. And the quoted speed of 100 mbs... more like 10-12 mbs... no where close to 100.

Works Great

Purchased this to use at home with two custom built machines running Ubuntu. Works as advertised and do not have any problems mounting in linux. The phone app works good as well.

WD Personal Cloud

This is an ammazing gadget. I have access to my files almost anywhere and on any computer including the tablet and phone. Easy setup and transfering files. Transfering files was very fast considering that I transfered 400GB.

Easy setup!

Using it for Music and Photo files. Easy setup - no problems connecting, setting up shares, or creating users. 2TB for a nice price! Networked with Windows 7 computers for now. I will be purchasing a Windows 8 laptop soon so I am crossing my fingers!
