DVR ok, Cameras...useless

The system is OK, not the best interface, however, the cameras, when used at night, are useless. If you have them looking at your fron door, the graininess of the picture sets motion detection off right all night. Qsee has no fix. Having to buy all new cameras to see if that fixes the problem. Also, one of the 4 cameras included was defective. Have been waiting 5 days for an RMA

Great Price, but...

Hard to install unless you are completely network-savvy. We had to hire someone since we have just basic home computer skills.

You get what you paay for

Setup was very easy if you can get around some language issues in the documentation and on screen display. Mobile access works with few glitches and so does internet access. The cameras are adequate for interior but not great at night vision. All in all there are better products out there, it all depends what you want to spend.

Performs great, software & setup directions don't

This is my 2nd Q-See DVR. For the price point you cannot do better. However, as with my previous system, the setup instructions for advanced features are not included and after many emails to customer service (Q-See) I finally figured out myself how to activate the trigger for an external alarm. The software interface sucks and has poor english grammar and errors (cheap Chinese programming). I have one area set to record and email on motion, I have the sensitivity set to the least and I will get an email every 10 seconds all night long. My ISP loves me. You cannot have more than 2 cameras on hidef, and the picture quality is not the greatest... do not think you will ever see green grass or clothing, it is not there. But for the price it is a deal.

Good deal, Bad Night Vision

Everything worked out of the box. Easy setup, except the internet viewing took a little time to get it right. The cameras are not good at all for night viewing, very grainy picture. Daytime is not bad. I like the features, can view from cell phone and the internet. If you have a home network, you can view from all computers. If your looking for good quality and clear picture at night, you may want something else. For the price, its a great system. I purchased another camera for 150.00 and the night vision was clear and you could see 100 feet plus. Its hard to identify a face at over 50 feet with this system.
