Excellent enclosure for great price.
I had actually purchased this enclosure about a year ago now, but wanted to hold out before writing the review to see how my experience with it is. I'm very impressed with this unit. Other 8 bay RAID enclosures are very expensive, this one comes with all the necessary hardware, makes it a breeze to setup the RAID, and it executes self-health checks periodically to make sure all the drives are in good health. Built in sensors also ensure optimal temperatures. I was at first a bit hesitant about the brand (as I haven't dealt with them much before or heard of them,) but I'm very impressed with Sans Digital. Would definitely recommend.

Decent but need an add on card
The included card is garbage, as noted by many people online. I replaced it with a pciex8 esata card, and this resolved the extremely slow xfer speeds. The array was very well packaged, and is solid. The drive trays are plastic but don't feel like they will come apart. There were enough screws included 4 per drive tray to secure each drive. Overall value would have been 5 except for the esata card.
