Worth the price
I purchased this for my netbook who's internal sound card died. I'm running OpenSUSE 12.3 (linux) and this card works great. Sound is fine. Convenient to use on the go. Worth the price

Not that good
I was using this product for several month now. First I was impressed with the sound quality and features of integrated sound processing unit of this product. Day to day usage has revealed one problem, that makes this device useless. I'm using convenient earbuds to listen to music (Sennheiser CX 55 - 16 Ohm load). When music has periods of steady tone on low frequency, sound card producing quite noticeable hoarse noise. Load of 32 Ohm or higher helps to improve quality. RMA-ed first card with Creative, second does a bit better, but I still can't use it. Presence of the noise with earbuds defeats the purpose of having portable USB sound card. Go with X-Fi 5.1 Pro or X-Fi HD instead.

As always this company has a solution.
I am an old retired systems engineer and I play World of Warcraft to relax and it is a game where I can get together with 2 of my sons. When trying to communicate on headsets my laptops sound card was being overloaded and would blur the sound and shut down. With this USB sound card the sound is crisp and clear. No problems. As usual when I have a computer problem this company has a solution.

Great purchase
I had just bought a new Sony Vaio laptop and the sound was horrible so I decided to buy a sound card and after searching I choose this one.It installed seamlessly but it took 20 minutes to do and a restart but it works awesome and I highly recommend it Great value for the money

Not tooo bad at all
I got this product for my friend and she likes it . The only problem she had with it was the programming of it for her laptop. Once she had it installed properly it turned out to be a pretty good buy...

Great purchase
I purchased this and a less expensive model and found that as usual, C-Labs definately still makes a quality product. The quality of this usb sound device is equal to or better than the sb audigy series and older. Provides outstanding sound with Crysis 2 offering a quality 3d surround experience with my ptronics gaming headset as the usb that came with it died.

Not cracled up to advertising
I chose this priecier sound card over one that was selling for a few bucks. Mistake? This one burps and cracles and certainly doesn't provide anything like high fidelity. Because I have no sound on my laptop (Inspiron 6000) speakers or earphone jack with this I get sound. Sound. Period. Noise, too.If I try another will I get snakebit again?
