Quite a value
Purchased mine as a refurb. The refurb itself is done by a secondary company. Unit arrived well packaged. There are no CD's shipped and you will need to make backup OS CD's using a bundled utility provided by Gateway. I initially had a few hiccups trying to install some minor Windows updates. The suggestion listed in this thread did work. I suspect a fresh install of Windows 7 would have corrected it but did not want to go down that route. The machine updated correctly and has been downloading MS updates fine every since. No reinstall was necessary! Other takes - the machine is very quite and very fast. I havent thrown a single thing at this beast that it cant handle. The Gateway mouse and keyboard are poop, but I already had my own. Above average sound provided by THX. No other PC company could match the specs performance. This is the 1st PC I've owned that I didnt assemble. If you dont want to piece together your own PC, I recommend this Gateway!!

Excellant PC - So Far
I have had this machine for just over a month and am very happy with it. I did not have any any previously reported driver start up issues at all. Only one minor complaint re the making of back up disks; the Gateway backup program does not read the disk that I insert..it keeps asking to insert the disk when it is in the drive. I have tried diferrent disks but still the same result.

Great value, runs quiet, everything works.
I easily swapped out the HDD for a SSD and upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Very happy with the end result. She runs fast and quiet. So far, all ports work well and I've had no issues.
