Have this working in my condo with encryption on, wow works really well, no problems, my condo is about 6 years old so the wiring is new, I guess in old houses or building your spead would be determined by the wiring

So far works good
I purchased this a month back. I am using it to connect a set top box for video streaming, both from my server and internet (DSL 1.5M) I do not have a convenient wired connection near my TV. I also have a bunch of laptops, phones and remote speakers all of which use the 2.4GHz band. Upgrading to 5GHz is not an option. I only use one port and have never measured the throughput. I have played 1080p MKV files from my server without freezes, so it works for me.
