Excellent CPU
Immediately worked in an asus m2n sli deluxe, overclocked at 2.64ghz and working very great. Windows experience index is 7.2. Idle temperature is around 44C and under heavy load 55C (using antec formula 6).

Impressed!
It is a very good processor for the money spent. Pretty much the price to performace ratio is 1:1. It replaced an old AM2 6000+ AMD X2 3.0 GHZ. the WEI score went up from 6.1 to 7.0. Visually, there is no difference between this quad core and my old dual core, but in games such as COD and Biosock the FPS was raised by about 10 FPS. Also, HD video decoding was shortened by about 15 mins. If you have a good enough dual core CPU and you dont do any video decoding or high end video audio formatting then there is no need to purchase this quad core. Although, for the price it is almost a steal to buy this quad core as it is kind-of, sort-of a future proof to your overall PC performance for the next one to two years for sure.

Great bang for my buck
Great product for the price and the chip swap was super easy. I don't work on computers but I figured that for 55 bucks I can give it a shot and I'm glad I did. I have an HP slimline and it dropped right in. Works significantly faster than the dual core it came with. All in all it was a great upgrade for my computer and very affordable.
