The Best TV Ever For The Price

I bought my M550NV in November and I still enjoy it like if it was new. problems? not really the sound is very poor but I use my home theatre + you can get the sound bar from VIZIO the other thing is the holding the alt botton for symbols wish I found out I can use a bluetooth keyboard. I recomend this TV any time.

Excellent for the price

I have nothing bad to say about most of the TV, but I will focus on the one thing about it that drives me insane. The apps. Most of them are worthless, poorly laid out, and frustratingly slow to use. The Web video. CBS, Showtime apps are useless little clips of things here and there, no full shows, that take forever to go through in the menu. They should of just done searchable Youtube and been done with it.

Picture is amazing, but I think all TVs are great and hard to tell apart today at the 1080p level. Most amazing thing is the web apps. They all work and are fun to use. I was expecting gimmicky apps that didn't perform. I love the TV-Web device crossover. Remote is a little cheap feeling. No backlight for keys and you have to hold ALT while pressing a key to get the alternate symbol. That is awkward. 4 star quality there. Love the remote setup. TV asks you the device type and brand, then sets up remote codes. Super simple. Then the TV always knows what to expect from the remote. Switch to DVD input, the remote works the DVD player. EASY! Needs ability to customize keys though. I don't have a page down-up or 30 second skip anymore. Still keeping the cable box remote around. No big deal, and I feel there is a way to hack this. Just gotta play some more.

Great TV as long as it works

Bought TV on Nov 19, 2010 on Feb 18,2011 burned pixels on the center of the screen. Called Vizio and after giving me the run around for more than two weeks I was told that what broke was not covered, it actually needed to be worst than what it is to be covered. I've had the TV for Little over 3 months and in all fairness I think I got one that was defective. All I wanted was for the product to b repaired, but Vizio has a hard time honoring warranty. Before u buy any of their products called them up and get as much info as u possibly can about the product and it's warranty because the manual that comes with the equipment says one thing and Vizio's say something completly different. Other than that internet apps are great!!!
