The Seagate STAM2000100 FreeAgent GoFlex Home Network Storage System also allows you to stream media to game consoles and the GoFlex TV
HD media player. Store all your photos, movies and music on the GoFlex Home network storage system and enjoy your media and favorite memories from any room in the house. Additionally, you can share a USB printer with every computer in the home by simply conne cting to the USB port on the Seagate STAM2000100 FreeAgent GoFlex Home Network Storage System or you can plug in a USB drive to the port to increase storage capacity. The built-in drive can also be upgraded by simply removing the drive from the base and replacing with a
higher capacity GoFlex Desk drive. The Seagate STAM2000100 FreeAgent GoFlex Home Network Storage System installs in just minutes, allowing you to quickly begin protecting your files, enjoying your media and accessing your content wherever you are.

- Instant Backup: GoFlex Home protects your important files with automatic, “set it and forget it” file backup using Memeo Instant Backup (Windows only), and is also Time Machine-compatible for Mac computers.
- Centralized Storage: GoFlex Home is a central location for storing digital media (music, photos, movies) and other household files you want to share with everyone on your home network. You can store Windows- and Mac-compatible files all in one place.
- User Accounts: Up to five people/computers on your home network can access GoFlex Home. (You can upgrade to unlimited accounts by subscribing to Seagate Share Pro. See page 8 for more information.)
- Remote Access: GoFlex Home provides access to your digital content from anywhere inside or outside your home, using the Web-based Seagate Share application. You can even access GoFlex Home from your smart phone
- Centralized Printing: If you connect a printer to the USB port on your GoFlex Home, everyone on your home network can wirelessly print from that one printer. See page 47 for more information.
- Music and Video Streaming (DLNA): Everyone on your home network can stream music, movies, and videos to their computer or to a digital media device, such as a FreeAgent GoFlex TV, from GoFlex Home. (DLNA stands for Digital Living Network Alliance, and is a technology that allows you to enjoy the digital media files stored on your GoFlex Home on a digital media device.)
- Seagate Dashboard: This software serves as a central location from which you can access all of GoFlex Home’s features (Windows only).
- Easy Expansion: If you require additional storage capacity in the future, you can easily remove and replace the drive in GoFlex Home—no tools required. You can also connect an external USB drive directly to GoFlex Home for even more storage space. See page 69 for more information.

Good Network Home Storeage Device
My son and I decided to purchase this device because we purchase a lot of dvds and noticed the degradation of them. So far most of the backups copied with no problem. Playing them from the NAS works well. The only problem is with the Remote Access. - advice - If the router you have has port-forwarding you have to engage the port to use it remotely! Wish they had the 3tb I originally tried to buy!!! Also, the security needs upgrading otherwise a great buy for the money!

Reasonable Home Network Server
This is easy to set up and use. The iTunes server starts right up and I've served video and audio to an Android tablet and Windows 7 media players. I have had difficulty with external USB storage causing the server to hang, and it seems to get confused if shares have the same names as folders. It is unfortunate that you cannot have a persistent connection without a password entered each time. On balance, it's a good home storage and media server.

Like it !
Wifi access is usefull. Apple software with no download option. It's easy to log from other computer at friends place for exemple and share our vacation picture that are stock on the drive, at home. Wifi access is otfen not working at all, but it's not determine yet if it's a Seagate or router issue. Would recommand it overall !

Great Buy
Easiest Network back-up I ever did! Purchased to back-up Church network and it worked great for three computers; have not tried the Android or IPad Apps to view information yet, but buying another for my home network!
