Gaming Computer...enough said
Honestly this is 100% worth the money. I am a college student at UCA and this was a perfect Christmas present to do anything school related and GAME! If you are trying to find a cheap gaming laptop this is what you what. The graphics card is tight ran on ultra just for fun. Recommend medium to high settings for best quality. Buy the fan with it you'll need it for this beast. Its 17 inch just so u know. God bless

Buyer Beware
I bought one of these about 6 months ago. Did not use it as much at first but recently started to. I had a hard drive crash (unrepairable), which was followed by the recovery disc not working (provided when I bought it), which then caused an upgrade to Windows 7 as vista would not load correctly.

So far so good
I have had this pc for about three weeks and it works great. I have been able to play most of my games at max res and have been able to use it for my college work as well. It is everything I have been wanting without the over price.

Not bad.
Good computer, but mine came with some pretty substantial gouges and scratches, looks almost like someone was drawing squiggles and swirls into it.I didn't expect it to be perfect, but I also didn't expect it to be someones canvas.

Not the best deal
I did notice that the ASUS g72gx is almost the same laptop, but better in a couple key ways. 1. Screen is 17.3' LED back-lit with a resolution of 1600x900 (g71 is 1600x1440 and not LED). 2. It comes with windows 7-64bit home (g71 comes with vista..). 3. It has the newer style keyboard, which seem much less likely to break (g71 has the type of keys that can get caught and pop off). So, as luck would have it, my g71 arrived with a dead hard disk and I was able to send it back for a full refund and order the g72. I don't regret it one bit. Runs SC2 great for a budget gaming laptop.
