not bad
the price drop 100 bucks right after I bought it, so that did not make me happy, but I do like the features in the unit and it set up in no time at all, however the cameras are certainly not the best I'll have to upgrade what was sent if i want true quality.

I purchased the 8500. Very simple to install and operate The cameras are marginal resolution which prompted me to replace immediately.

Poor design, marginal quality
The FS-8500 has proven to be a huge disappointment. The cameras are marginal resolution which prompted me to replace immediately. One of the first things I did was to go in to the menu under video and click on a higher resolution. The error came up on the screen,

Great Product and Customer Service
I purchased the 8500. Very simple to install and operate. One of 4 way splitter was bad. contacted customer service by email and a new one sent same day. i would buy another tomorrow. i have recommed to friends. great bang for buck.

Pros: Easy Setup Good Price Remote Viewing Big hard drive Cons: Narrow viewing angle on bundled cameras Not all setting available from web interface (such as naming cameras) Other Thoughts: I would recommend this system for tech savy users
