Great Value for a Quad Core Processor
While AMD has fallen behind Intel in the benchmark tests, they do still make a great processor and this will make quick work of virtually any task. For the price, I think it's a great value.

Satisfaction
Unlocked all four cores with an ASUS board, runs simulations really fast. The under-appreciated workhorse lurking in my system. :-) Exactly what I want in a processor -- does its job quietly.

Excellent
This is a great upgrade at a great price! A big performance increase over my Athlon X2 5000. This is the 95watt process, too. Another user warned it may be 125watt which would toast your board if not designed for 125watt. There are two versions of the 9850. One 95watt and one 125watt. CPU-Z verified this is the 95watt chip. If they come back in stock, grab one! It will extend the life of your AM2 system.
