Best In Class
This is my third scanner. First I had a Microtek with separate light source for scanning transparent media. It was a fine serial-port scanner. Retired it, seven years ago got a Visioneer USB which was easy and reliable until last month. I received this new scanner two days ago and it's fantastic. I love it! Got all the transparency adapters I need, it's fast and quiet. The machine set up quickly and easily, the instructions were straightforward. The high-res (4800) scans I'm getting are clean and sharp, even from old 35mm negatives. Canon's software is simple to use and intuitive. I use Photoshop already so I didn't install Elements. People who are seeing scans online are remarking at how good the photos look. I'm satisfied there isn't another scanned under $200.00 that produces these results.

scanner 9000 canon
Great value for the money. wanted to scann 35mm slides since I had a lot of them from earlier times taking photos. Was trying to get one that had more capacity other than 4 at a time but they do not make that model anymore.. This one does a great job, good speed, great quality, ease of use, wonderful price. for the money you can't beat it

Great scanner
This is the fastest and quietest scanner I have ever used. The software is easy to use and where I also have a Canon printer, I can use the MP Navigator software to control both. The ability to scan slides is a major bonus now than I'm going through tons of slides a relative left behind. The quality of the scans is impressive & so far I have nothing to complain about with this scanner, it is everything I was looking for when I bought it.

Unbelievable quality for the price
I replaced my older photo scanner (another brand)with the 9000F. The software is great and the speed of the scan was very impressive. I scanned a negative from Nov. 1941 and the results were fantastic, even using the autoscan feature.
