I like this Gigabit switch quite a lot. Most of the home network is made of D-Link products. I wanted to upgrade from the old 10/100 network to Gigabit. This switch is the same physical size as the router I'm using (also a D-Link), and such I it's actually locked together with the router using small rubber feet that D-Link provided in their package. The switch has been flawless so far, and delivers massive bandwidth which is well-needed for large-scale backups. I would recommend this switch as th emost economical way of bringing Gigabit speed to your network hassle-free.
Pros:
Works great!
Connected it directly to my SMC wireless router without any configuration required.
Upgraded all network cards to gigabit cards and everything's moving much faster! (pci & pcmcia cards upgraded)
Cons:
It is a light unit, and lifts easily off the table(cable weight). But put another piece of equipment on top to hold it down like I do =)
Small & quiet (fanless). Highly recommended!
