Can't make it work properly.
Have been trying for several days to record VCR thru XPpro PC to Memorex external DVD writer. It goes thru all the motions, but recording will not play on any machine. I bought a stack of Memorex DVD-R,to use, as indicated, and have used different VCR recordings--getting the same results. The instructions are poor, at best, but have studied them extensively. If I continue to experience this, I shall be sending the unit back. B. Mc

poor product worthless
picture good no sound. could not get sound to work. the set up had me plug the device into my sound card. what is the use of plugging my AV device in to this and then this into my sound card when I could plug my AV device directly in to my sound card worthless device

Copyright protection faults on home videos
cannot capture more than 10 minutes before the software faults with copyright protection even on home video capture. Apparently this is a common problem judging by frustrated users on various help blogs. This is apparently a known software issue. Save your money.

Worked great but in windows XP - overall good
Did not work with Windows 7, but worked great in my older computer with windows XP. No issues, converated all my tapes within a few days. Software is not the best but works. Overall it was good taking into account the price and the fact you need a computer with windows XP.

Terrible
Just does not work. The software that come with it is not compatible with windows vista, so it just does not work. Waste of time and money.

Mine works fine
installed it, plug it in, capture the video and burned the DVD. Worked fine wish it had a full screen feature during capturing.

Cyberlink DVD burning software doesn't work
The actual Kworld capture device is simple to connect and use and it works fine however the Cyberlink Powerdirector and Powerproducer DVD burning software that comes with it is not good. It will not allow you to burn DVD's which is the whole point of the capture device. I wasted 10 DVDs trying to burn a video that I captured from a VHS tape. It will write about half of the video file, then encounter an error and stop. I would not recommend cyberlink software with any video or audio capturing device.

Home Movies Copy Protected?
The Power Director software thinks my home movies are copy protected. I don't have the time to chase what ever the problem is down... Product is a hassle, recommend one looks elsewhere.

Adequate, but replacing two already
We use this device for intra oral dental video. Works just fine. However, out of 34 units, two have died after the warranty was up. That's a 6% failure rate. Looking for something else now.
