ITEM ARRIVED-HAD TO GET REPLACEMENT FROM TOMTOM

The item arrived in acceptable time, however, the unit did not operate correctly, and could not be returned to vendor, only to TomTom. They replaced with a different model, with lifetime traffic instead of lifetime maps.

Good Product - Major Quirk

This GPS performs admirably, when it works. Discovered a quirk when upgrading the dvice. Do yourself a favor and make sure you wait until it has rebooted itself correctly before clicking on the USB shutdown icon in the system tray or unplugging the device. It needed the software reloaded twice to recover from premature extraction before I figured this out. Otherwise, it is quickly becoming my favorite GPS and rarely leads me down the garden path like previous models have.

Good value

Very easy to setup and update, have only used a couple of times but seems to work fine and to be accurate. Voice directions are distinct and volume is good.

Cannot performs update

The GPS does not has enough space when I am trying to install updates for the first time. The internal memory is almost full out of the box. Very disappointing for product which claim to offer Lifetime Maps. If you are looking to purchase additional maps or install updates, this GPS perhaps is not a good option. Other than that, the GPS is working properly, but doesn't work well in new area.
