Battery HOG
Camera works well and is intuitive. But it is very difficult to get more than a few photos using rechargables before the Low battery message shuts down the camera. Purchase for a Christmas gift and now the receiver is mad at me for buying junk.

Good budget priced camera
For the price, you will not be disappointed. The camera takes great pictures in a variety of situations. Buy (4) good quality rechargeable batteries, and a charger. The batteries last a few days in general use. Make sure you change the battery type to 'NiMh' in camera setup when using rechargeables.

poor performer, battery eater
This camera does not cut it. Picture quality is poos and you cannot use NiMH batteries. HP knows of this problem, yet they list them as a viable power source. They told me to get disposable Lithium batteries (not very green). I was excited about getting another HP digital camera, my old ones were greata until they got stolen. This one is not good.
