Did not perform well at all
First, this amplifier didn't have the hook up we needed, so we had to buy another device to hook up the Optical cable from our TV, which was an additional 45 dollars. After getting everything we needed together and finally getting it hooked up, we noticed it was having problems during very quiet moments of the movies we watched. It was as if the amplifier couldn't sense that there was any sound at all and everything went silent. This happened a couple times during the first movie we watched with everything hooked up, but started happening with alarming frequency during subsequent movies. At that point we decided it was time to return it. Guess that's what we get for getting an off-brand product.
