Works with Ubuntu Server
I bought this card to add drives to my Ubuntu 12.04 server. Install went perfect and was recognized and operates as expected. Recommended.

Did not work
Works fine if no drives are attached. Machine will not boot if a SATA drive is attached. Has the features I was looking for but returning. Support is very lacking.

basic, cheap, and works
I bought this card to add sata capability to an older computer. the computer didn't have any issues and Windows XP likes it just fine. I didn't do any benchmarks or super speed tests on the card. It works and I'm happy. Of course a real test would be if the computer could handle two of these cards.... I'll try that later.

Good Card but not for booting up
Card works fine for its purpose. It definitely does not work to boot up from a Sata drive.

Awesome card
Worked without a hitch in my server. Decent file transfer rates with two drives attached. Perfect backup drives and download drives.
