The StarTech Hard Drive Dock/Duplicator lets you duplicate/clone an existing hard drive without the use of a host computer system. It allows you to create an exact one to one sector clone from one hard drive to another, including partition and boot sector information and all data, at a rate of 72Mbps. This device supports plug-and-play installation and can be connected to your host computer through USB 2.0, providing data transfer speeds up to 480Mbps. It supports both SATA and IDE 2.5in 3.5in hard drives. By viewing the LCD display, you can select the option you want or check the status. With Built in RAID 0, 1, and BIG functionality, this device delivers brilliant operation. Works 100% Fine
I have two of these units and have used them for several years and not once have they failed to perform. Not sure why some people can't figure out how to use things, but that must be the reason for the negative comments. This thing has saved me a ton of time. I highly recommend adding one to your IT arsenal of tools. 25 year IT Vetran

Works Great
Works great as long as you have a larger drive than you are going to copy, and when copied drive is finished no matter what size drive you used to duplicate the original drive, it will be the size of the copied drive, another words if you copy a 250Gb drive to a larger 320Gb drive upon compleation the copied drive space is 250Gb with a partition, other than that it works great.

This item does work but I do feel it is cheaply made and there is not enough information or directions that are included with this product.

what is everybody talking about? this duplicator is amazing i just pluged in drives hit enter and in 10min i was done
