Very unreliable. Have had this unit for awhile but it is very moody works when it wants to. DONT;T BUY IT

Cheap But Works
It works well. I can view and remote control it from anywhere on the net, even from my phone. Download the app from the android market called ipcamviewer. The internal server (software) is goofy but it works. The camera needs power cycled sometimes because the PTZ will lockup. So I just have it set up to an auto timer that turns the power on and off at a specific time everyday. If you want to use this from outside your local network you must understand how port forwarding works. I can connect to the camera using WPA2 with no problems. Night vision is terrible, plan to have the area well lit. I also own the asante voyager 1. This is the same quality.

It would not connect to the internet
I bought this camera to monitor my business at home. I connected it to my intranet at home wirelessly. It was great. I tried to connect it to the internet and it would not work. The company said it was because it was connected to the same port as the router and that the router port is frequently set to the same port as the camera. They gave me general instructions on how to fix it, but that did not work. Why don't they change the default port on the camera? I tried everything and could not get around the firewall or reassigning the port number without a great deal of difficulty. Then I took it to my business. Again, internally it worked great, but this time I couldn't even get the camera to recognize the network to get on the internet. It has a good picture and performs wirelessly in an internal location, but do not get it as an IP camera.

Good Cam!
After buys several d-link models as well as the astek mole i found found cam to be better and cheap than all the rest. I returned the others and kept this one. Just upgrade the firmware to version 2.06 and it will work on safari broswer. Camera works great! I use it wireless to monitor my dog. I can remote in and hear everything as well.

Nice camera, but too cheap!
The video quality and performance were pretty good. And I would have dealt with it, had the wireless functionality actually worked. Trying to connect WPA2-PSK doesn't work. And that is the main funciton I needed it for.
