Works as advertised
So far so good. During some of the initial updating (OS, drivers, etc.) the graphics became ridiculously slow but this all seem to have resolved itself. I'm running dual monitors and some heavy math programs just fine. It's fairly quiet, audible but not obnoxious.

Well done Gateway!
I've had this machine for two weeks now and I can't say enough good things about it. Besides the obvious of being fast, its a well built machine. Very little bloatware was factory installed and quickly removed. Multitasking and graphics are top notch. For the price you simply can't go wrong.

Beats the iBUYPOWER I had.
I ordered a $1,400 iBUYPOWER system and then saw this one. For just about $500 less this system had a better graphics card - but most significantly it is almost silent. The iBUYPOWER I had sounded like I had a pet weed wacker sitting on my desk. I'm very happy with the system everything worked (after I reseated a RAM chip) and this comes from somebody who has been building systems since 1990.

nice computer but gateway
I don't like the fact this computer didn't come with a OS disk, I have doubt about recovering from a total melt down. I also would rather that all the stuff on the hard drive not be there. I'm used to building a computer and not having a ton of unwanted stuff pre-installed. As far as the system goes, I saw nothing in the specs as to what motherboard is in this beast and I have yet to open it up to see. I had a dual core quads before so I'm not seeing that much increase in performace yet. And the graphic card is better then the xfx card I had but not that much better. For the price I guess upgrading the technology was worth it.
