Can You Hear It NOW?
After driving 18 miles across town on three occasions to make sure the reason my mom wasn't answering the phone wasn't that she was dying in a pool of blood from yet another fall I decided it was time for her to address her hearing loss issue and at least let me install this device. Instead of wearing a hearing aid, she turns the volume up on the television so loud that it can easily be heard from the mailbox a full 185 feet away, downhill and past rows of full box-woods. Somehow she is able to sleep even with glasses, lamps and picture frames vibrating off the tables, but cannot hear an ordinary phone ringer. My days of worry are over. She can hear this, especially as I installed it mere inches from where her head usually rests on her sofa. Now if she doesn't answer it is because she either doesn't want to talk to me, or the grim reaper has cast his blade upon her.
