Need special cabling
The device needs a small 4 pin cable from the power supply to power it, Could not find the right cable.

Whoa, there. This is not so good.
I foolishly bought two of these. Neither has ever worked in my system (Intel Core i7 930). I once installed drivers over and over until I was blue in the face. I finally got Windows 7 to recognize it. That was short-lived. The next day it was gone again. The documentation on this is poor or non-existent. As soon as I can afford it, I'll flip these things and buy another brand.

Slowly self-destructing
Bought this card year and a half ago. Has been working perfectly doing image backup of 560GB in 2.5 hours once a week. Then yesterday, my weekly backup failed. Tried again but lost connectivity. Then tried to copy a few gigs as a test and it started at 30MB per sec and dropped to 11MB per sec. Tried another image backup, started at 55MB per sec and quickly dropped to 1.0MB per sec. Will be purchasing another brand!

READ THIS FIRST, VERY BAD CARD!!!!
As another reader said, the tech details said about a SATA cable, you will need a 4 pin molex, as in one that is normally used in a Floppy disk drive. (think 1980s). Anyway, the card doesnt come with any cables, and will not work unless you buy them separately. It would be nice if they mentioned this on the site first. There are NO directions included in the packaging, no docs on the website.

Works Great
It works great on my 5 year old computer. Is only 2 times faster than my USB 2.0 outlets I was hoping for 4 times faster but it is an older computer. Great deal for the money. Win7 recognizes it just fine with the latest drivers.

Non functional out of box
Windows 7 64 bit will not recognize that this is even installed. With power wire connected properly, firmly seated in the mobo and drivers installed, nothing happens. It obviously is drawing power, as my mouse lights up and promptly signals its error flash. This item is not worth the money its cost in S&H let alone its regular price. Just wish there was a 0 star rating.

Sabrent USB 3.0 Failed Twice
I purchased this product to interface with a Seagate USB 3.0 external drive. One of the two ports constantly connected and disconnected the drive, about every 5 seconds. I made sure that the USB 3.0 connector was firmly in the card. Still now relief. The other port worked just fine with fast transfer rates. I considered keeping it, but decided to try a replacement card to see if I would have any better luck. When the new PCIe card came in, I installed it in the same computer, only to notice that the OS did not even recognize that there was a card present. I moved the card to another computer with the same results. I need a fully functional card for my computer repair business and am now considering Startech or Rosewill USB 3.0 cards.
