usb 3.0 the way to go....
10 times faster than 2.0. GREAT for backups and copies!

Did not work out for me
Severe power fluctuation. Unit kept rebooting every 5 seconds or so. Changed the power cable, the docking unit, and the connecting USB cable. NG. Exchanged the unit to a new one. Same thing. Returned it and bought a ASUS-U3S6. No more problems.
