and yo will see the inherent problem many people (myself included) are having with this brick. If you use it, be sure and have a back-up to your back-up
1 year minimal use FAIL
Drive failed after 1 year .... warranty 1 year.
1st WD drive to fail me, This was my back up........
Great Product
I bought 6 of these to harvest the drives out for a server I was building. The drives were WAY cheaper than internal ones at that time. I saved about $45 per drive ($270 total) and they function perfectly even after 2.5+ years of constant running. I recommend this product.
junk
Do not buy this I had it little over a year but only used it a few times. the drive stooped working and would not power up. I got it to power up once after it started acting up. to find all my data was missing. called WD and they would not replace the drive. Do Not Purchaser this item.
Dependable
This is my fifth Western external hard drive, and I have good luck with all of them.
