Asus P6X58D Premium Motherboard
Take advantage of the most significant architectural change in the x86 architecture in 13 years, the Intel Core i7. The ASUS P6X58D Premium introduces a new era for extreme performance. It is an X58-based motherboard that supports Intel’s new generation extreme performance Core i7 Processors and both SLI and CrossFireX! Six SATA 3Gb/s ports with RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 along two SATA 6Gb/s ports for ultra high speed transfer. Memory support includes up to 24GB of Triple Channel DDR3 memory. Intel has brought back Hyperthreading technology and combined it with a native quad-core design to give support for 8 separate threads in the new LGA1366 / Socket B CPU interface and their replacement for the old Front Side Bus technology, QuickPath Interconnect provides a system bus speed of up to 6.4GT/s. The three PCI-Express 2.0 slots to take full advantage of either 2 or 3 graphics cards, allowing up to four GPUs to be used for maximum graphics performance.

given me no problems after a year. have it matched up wtih a i7930 overclocked to 3.8ghz. runs like a dream.

Another great 1 from ASUS
Asus does it again!! This is a great board. Intel Core i7 960 processor 3.20 GHz -- 12 gig Corsair Dominator Extreme Edition RAM - Easy install & set-up. Love it!!

So far the best board I have ever had
Instaled on a new system with 12 gigs kingston ram and an i7-930 and everything worked fine. Dont yet have a use for the USB 3.0 or SATA 6 gig but ya never know. I havent over clocked yet so I cant comment on that. My only complaints so far are the little X-treme phase badge is stuck on the X58 heat sink crooked , the shield padding just gets in the way when instaling the board (had to compress it to line up mount screws) and the padding makes the shield budge out in the middle. The board could also probably use one more USB header. A few hints, make sure your ram will work befor you buy it, check the data sheet! Be aware the SATA 6 gig does not support raid.

sata 3 ports do not support raid
board works except for the fact that the sata 3 6gig ports do not support any raid array. It does not boot as fast as some other boards but I was very dissappointed for the money I paid for this
