Works ok
it sometimes won't be recognized by Windows 7. I have to keep unplugging and re plugging it in. But so far it's recognized all my old hard Drives I've attached

worked as advertised and worked well
Very pleased with this device. I bought it to salvage data, then wipe HDs prior to sending them to electronic recycle. Very straight forward operation. Handled both kind of legacy drive interfaces (SATA, IDE) without issue. Operation was intuitive, I was in operation in 5 minutes and all the jobs proceeded without any glitches. No problems with my Dell computer reading the USB interface.

Does what it says it will do.
I was suprised. When I received it I plugged it into the USB port of my desktop and it was recognized and ready to go almost immediately. I was even able to recover a few files from an IDE disk that other options had failed to do and had reported the disk as bad. If you expect a do it all commercial grade product, this isn't it. If you need a product that's small, easy to use and works, this is it.

Functional-Limited
Had a few old IDE's to recover and scrub. Useful for this. It found a 2.5 I had retrieved from an external, read it, but none of the contents. Reported it as not being un-formatted. Have not tried it on SATA yet. Will not read PATA without add-on dock. Pretty good, for what it is.

Have needed this product for some time. Glad I bought this all in one unit. Worked like a charm and worth every penny.
