Got a defective one

I think I bought a defective one. Ports 3,4,and 5 just don't work. Ports 1 and 2 sometimes works but not at the same time. I frequently get the windows message USB Device Not Recognized. I wanted to stack a group of USD Flash drives on it. Port 1 works when it is alone but not when another flash drive is on port 2. |

My computer would stop at a certain point when I would boot it up. It is a new computer with Windows 7. I called Dell, no help. I carried it to a computer shop and the computer worked fine. When I got home I booted the computer without the D-Link Dub-H7 plugged in and the computer booted okay. I figured I might need driver. I called D-Link and they said it didn't come with driver for me to contact Miscroft. I had no luck with Miscroft. Now the product is out of the 30 day warrantly to send it back. Guess I am stuck with a bad product. Before I turn my computer on I have to unplug the D-Link Dub-H7 from the USB Port. |

This isn't the first D-Link product I've purchased and it won't be my last. I'm running it off my laptop, I've 2 external hard drives, printer, keypad, charging my bluetooth, AND running my mobile broadband modem (which takes 2 usb ports) and all working perfectly. |

Could buy cheaper but not nearly as good. The extra is worth it. You get what you pay for. I know. I bought cheaper and ended up tossing them. It works as advertised |

I have had D-link DUB-H7 for 5 years never had a problem, also the wires give lots of room to have hub where you need it most. I just replaced mine, only because, I accidentally dropped down stairs and it broke. (I have tried cheaper hubs, but I ended up giving them away)If you want your USB device to run right use this hub. |

I haven't any problems with this hub so far. If you don't want to use the AC adapter, it can be powered from your computer's USB hub, but you need to be careful since it will still report that it is self-powered. |
