Silenx IXAFCEX Four Channel External Fan Controller
Unlike any other fan controller on the market today, the Silenx IXAFCEX Four Channel External Fan Controller allows you to control fan speeds for four fans, with or without a computer power supply to power up your fans. When used for your computer, disregard the included AC/DC adapter, simply connect the molex connector attached to the fan controller to your power supply to power up your fans. When used as a standalone device to cool your AV equipment, aquarium lighting or cabinets, use the included AC/DC adapter to power up your fans. The Silenx IXAFCEX Four Channel External Fan Controller has an LED indicator light for each channel when a fan is powered up. When every other company out there makes variations of the same basic fan controller, we've come up with a solution to make it truly versatile and practical!

Works as described
This product worked exactly as described. The blue LED's are enough to melt your retna's in a dark lit room, I put some electrical tape over them. Also, I wish they were able to completely turn off the fan, instead it just allows you to slow down the speed. Overall I am happy with my purchase.

Perfect for the job.
I needed a way of incorporating computer fans in my TV stand to help keep my components cool. I dreaded having to waste some internal compartment space just to house a giant power supply. This little unit was perfect...it allowed me to power installed computer fans and control each fan's speed independently.

Great, but already faulty.
Worked for a week then lost a channel.. now it only controls 3 fans. No clue why. Great concept.

Doesn't work very well
Used it with three 80mm (1 watt) very high speed fans (6000 rpm). It was not able to slow them down correctly. I was able to run my fans full speed or near full speed. More or less two different speed only, and not able to slow the fan as much as I needed. It may work correctly with standard fans, but with my high speed fan not.

Very nice little controller.
I had no negative issues with this whatsoever. I'm using it with 2 Noctua NF-P12 fans for an entertainment center, and things are MUCH quieter! Highly recommend these two products.
