Nice 4 the Price

Bought this about 6 months ago. Has been working great. I did install a PCIe sata card with 2 external sata ports. Much faster than the usb 2.0 Note: Only handles up to 2TB drives. The more expensive dock of this brand handles up to 5TB drives and has a usb 3.0 port only.

Worked for One Week

It worked great for a week and then stopped. Going through RMA convoluted process now.

info on part was not accurate

i bought this and 2 3TB seagate drives , but the product info claims 3 different drive types and sizes, so i found it will not work with 3TB drives and i have not been able to test the drives or the drive dock. I called and they claim it will support 2TB drives max :( oh well ! could not bet price and service :)

Good but...

I have had it for a while now the only issue I have is that my computer didn't recognize the e-sata connection and I haven't had time to mess with it yet to see if I can make it work. Otherwise works great with USB.

Simple, Efficent and easy to set up

I have 3 of these and have no complaints about them at all. Well based on the last elections I might not be saying that is accurate, lol. However I do note that the hard drives can get pretty hot and it depends on what use you have planed for the hard drives you use. For casual use and back up there is no issues. However I use one of these as a media storage for my home network and the hard drives can get pretty hot so a small fan blowing on them does the trick. Good price and performance.

BlacX Duet HD Dock

Have waited to reply pending final outcome. Product shipped and arrived as promised - no problems. Product worked great - for 2 hours then died. Return practices with maker were quick, efficient and replacement works fine - so far. Works well especially with eSATA and 2 HDD'S at once. Hope it continues.

Great Dock

Working with a lot of video from SSHD's this works great for us. The eSata connection was a must for us.

Great product

Hook up was a snap - has worked great so far, so for this has worked so much better than cased hard drives.I added an external usb cooling fan blowing over them when in use. they stay very cool. takes less space than standard external drives. I recommend this to anyone who uses 2 or more externals like I do.

Awesome Product

I ordered this hard drive docking station on the 4th and it came today on the 9th not bad. My desk top took a dive last year. I needed my files for work. I have been looking at motherboards and processors in the 500 dollar range. I ran across this hard drive dock i figured what the heck give it a try. I hooked up the Docking station to my sony vaio powered it up and nothing. No whirling sound no bells no whistles. I tried everything I knew to do then before I called the Tiger Direct Panic Hot Line I switched the hard drives front to back. The bells started ringing the whistles started blowing. Next thing I know I have files spread out all over my screen. Glad to have my files back.
