Great Price
The OEM edition is the same as the retail except with a shorter warrenty and no support, neither of which I need. It is an improved version of Vista. They took out some of the excess baggage found in Vista. It runs fine on 2Mb of Ram which is good since many of the older MB's will handle only 2 or 3 MB anyway.

I bought it and unable to install on the barebones kit I bought. seems that it says that it will operate on 2 gig of ram but all techs I have talked to tell me it would be draggy, so didn't install it. at later date will get a new mobo with more ram and install.

Not as good as I was anticipating
Upgraded to windows 7 64 bit from vista 64 bit. Works fine and all, but performance wise I don't notice anything, granted my system is a healthy overclocked x58 i7, so I had no problems running vista what so ever. Was just expecting faster boot up times like everyone always boasts of, and for me it's the same. Had a couple issues right off the bad with programs being thrown into compatibility mode when they didn't need to but have gotten them straightened out, overall, easy to work with, just takes some getting used to, will continue to use Windows 7 in future systems.
