I purchased 50 of these to use as replacements for dead mice and for notebook computers. Restart and then plug in the mouse and it works perfect everytime. Works on three different HP, 1 Compaq and 3 Dell notebook computers flawlessly. Still works when you restart also. No problems on a Dell desktop with XP either, the back button and auto scroll (wheel button) work without using the software. Great DPI, the buttons are more durable than the little Logitech and much more comfortable than the MS. Looks better too. The only problem I have is now I've got these little green PS2 adaters out the wazoo...

Best mouse I've ever owned. Used my first one for several years until the scroll wheel broke and absolutely loved it. Fits my hand perfectly and the illuminated scroll wheel is a cool feature. Works fine under Windows and Linux. Bought 3 more just so I'd always have one.

Great mouse for the price. Fits my hand perfectly, though if you have small hands I'd consider something a bit less bulky. The backlit scrollball is cool and the 3rd button is useful for gamers and everyday users alike. Shipped in 4 days, so no big complaints there. An overall good buy.

I have had the same problem with the mouse as mouse_user (having to unplug and replug after restarting computer). But I don't resart my computers that much and it works great for anything else. Plus it feels nice in the hand and its real cheap (I got mine free with rebate).
