Very happy
I bought this netbook for my husband and he loves it! I also got the Gateway LT2030u for myself-- the 10.2 in. screen, 1 GB of memory. I updated mine to 2 GB and it is perfect. For my husband, the 3 gigs suit him well, as he uses a voice transcriber for his case notes and needs the better specs. We both bought an external drive. If you have a desktop for your more sophisticated needs and need a very portable device to do basic stuff, this is it. The 6-cell battery carries you for 6-7 hours-- which works just fine. Good choice to go for the 6 cell--just pay the extra money and skip the 3 cell. Gateway is a good company which we have known for years. They were bought out by Acer about a year ago, too bad, but at least Acer is Taiwanese and not Chinese. We are glad not to support the Chinese economy. I really researched these with IT people etc and we are very happy.

Good solid value
This beats the atom-based netbooks by including an Pentium SU processor and Windows 7, 64 bit which removes the 1GB memory limitation and provides improved graphics processing and a full version of Windows rather than a lite version.

Awesome Computer!!!
I love this computer. I opted for the Pentium process in lieu of the other available options to get better performance, and I'm glad I did! This computer isn't designed for advanced gaming or complex multi-tasking, but it's great for traveling and providing access to the internet, chatting, email, or other basic Office functions. My only complaint is that it doesn't have an internal CD and DVD player, but there are many available external products that are both lightweight and affordable. Definitely a great purchase!

a true netbook.. i mean notebook
this notebook is good for multi-tasking, big disk space, bright display, and also it's really fast for an 11.6 inch. downside is the speakers are not loud enough and this laptop is not for gaming.
