These aren't your Daddy's desktop speakers
These speakers are a great upgrade if you are thinking about replacing your workstation's existing speakers. The convenience ports on the front are very handy should you want to run a line out of your MP3 player or external device, and the headphone jack is very convenient for late night listening. I really like these, but have to admit that the mid-range on my set seems a little under-represented in the audio spectrum. This is a very minor criticism as audio intelligibility isn't affected. Great set overall; I would recommend these for anyone who likes to listen to music via their computer (CD's, MP3's).

Excellent Clarity, Balanced.
For a space saving and simple elegant solution to attach a compact speaker system with balanced frequency range and exceptional clarity to your system (be it desktop, laptop, netbook, etc), that pair perhaps is one of the best choices available on the market. And it's best enjoyed at full volume.

Big sound in a little box
I bought these to replace a pair of cheap tinny speakers on my work computer and am very satisfied. The AV30s do great for a pair of compact speakers. They are clean and smooth throughout their range with clear highs and tight robust lows. They have a low frequency switch to boost the bass when the volume is down very low. They have enough clear power for decent conference room presentations, and they are killer desktop speakers while still looking dignified in an office setting.
