Mouse Freezes Intermittently
Over all, I liked the laptop for the price. Performance is good and the screen is nice. However, I had to return to the laptop because the mouse intermittently freezes. When that happens, you have to completely remove your finger off the touch pad and try again and then it works. So you wind up having to click a button or link, or scroll multiple times. This was extremely annoying. I updated the touchpad driver and called Toshiba tech support to no avail. I returned the laptop.

Beware Windows8
I bought this laptop to use on the Internet. When NOT on the net, it performs well. ON the net, it's far slower than my 7 year old Toshiba with XP. With the i7 processor, it should be very fast. Instead, it bogs down when playing a video clip. Sometimes it locks up and I have to get off the net and start over. What might be an outstanding laptop is all but unusable because of Windows8. Went on the web (on the old laptop) and found many complaints like mine. I will have a systems guy check it out just to be sure there's not a simple fix. Suspect that if I want a fast laptop, I'll have to buy Windows7

Cheap plastic
Dont buy this product the screen does not stay closed the plastic around the lcd is cheap as .... not worth the money even tho might seem like a good deal

Windows 8
Windows 8 is probably fine with a touch screen. Had to ditch MS Windows 8 and SPEND another $100 bucks for Windows 7. Running with windows 7, Performance is a high 5 rather than a 2 or lower. Overall, with Windows 7, its a great little laptop!

Great Hardware, Bad OS
I really like the hardware of this computer. I wanted an I-7 for its fast processing power. The Windows 8 OS leaves A LOT to be desired. The computer repeatedly freezes and then you cannot use the Task Manager to close the offending process. Hard resets are the norm with this OS. This is a great deal but I have had to purchase Windows 7 for this computer as Windows 8 barely runs. Great deal for the money if you are forewarned!
