Unusable
I purchased one of these and was disappointed that it did not work out of the box. Touching the unit was enough to cause it to connect and reconnect with the computer. TigerDirect was very helpful and quickly replaced to unit with another one. Regrettably, this one had exactly the same issue.

Okay
Bought two of these hubs at Christmas with two 500 gb external hard drives. I figured I needed one with more kick than the old D-Link I've had for 5 or so years that is easily thrown into overdrive with three devices (it's a seven port hub, .5 amps less than this one). Well, this one didn't work any better. It does work. You get what you pay for with this one.

Great Hub
I really like this hub. I'm especially glad I spent a few more $$$ and got one that is externally powered like this one is. I'll now not need to be concerned about having enough power to power external hard drives, etc.

Great Product
Bought product to plug a magicJack into because it was powered. Even though my personally built PC has a high wattage power supply magicJack had quit working. Using this powered USB device allowed me to plug in my magicJack and it immediately started up and hasn't failed. Great product with a great price.

Not what I expected from ULTRA
Although the unit works, I am quite disappointed. Purchased to allow stnading connections for multiple printers, HDrives and wireless gear, the hub doesn't seem to be able to power more than 3 devices at any given time. Also, just because it claims to be all metal construction, don't be fooled. the case is VERY thin, and parts really don't seem to fit well, and the USB sockets are very loose and will not stand to any movement without cables falling out. Overall, not too happy with this purchase
