used this thing for about 2 months, no problem, bought it during boxing week deals. i used to have a WD 250gb that resets itself when it filled to about 100gb, it was a bad stick of ram that caused the problem |

The drive failed within 14 days of recieving it. It was not well packaged, but one could only speculate that this had anything to do with it. Even after reading the negative reviews on this product I decided to buy it anyways because of the price. Now however I realize it's not worth the hasle, your data is worth more. Long story short, if you buy this drive buy two so you can have a copy of your data. |

i bought 2 of these about a month back and i have both of them up and running in no time.i just from the time i pluged them in up to now they havent given me any issues. when i got them i instantly tranfered a little over 800 gb of data over to one of them from my external and it only took about 3-4 hrs to do. |
WILL NOT WORK IN EXTERNAL ENCLOSURES!!!

WARNING!!!! The new version of this hard drive is junk and will not work in external enclosures. If you get MDL: WD15EADS-00P8B0 send it back. Too bad we just ordered 2 to go along with an EZ-Dock 2. I can't put a link but you can search WD's forum for more information on the problem. |

Worked for about 10 days connected to a Mini ITX motherboard. Ran ok for a while, was never fast, then slowed down to a crawl, then would not boot saying a problem was detected on the hard drive. RA'd. |
