Plugged in and worked... About 40ft from the wireless router and had excellent single and data rated.

Basic WiFi link
I had no issues installing this on my older Win XP computer being used as an entertainment system in the family room. The adapter connects to my home WiFi network but the throughput is slow enough to have YouTube videos freeze every 10-15 seconds while the stream buffers. This is most suitable for internet software updates and light web surfing.
