Excellent quality, performance and value
I have been buying refurb laptops from Tiger over the years, and once again it is an awesome value. I received this laptop today and I could swear it is brand new. It has a really sleek aluminum case and the keyboard has a great feel to it. Powerful and speedy, this unit has the ability to set the type of performance - for example in high performance mode, the 2.8 Ghz i7 dual core chip will overclock to 3.44 and really speed up processing. Unlike the other reviews, I have not yet experienced any issues with processing and graphics - video is fluid even while multi-tasking. The HD graphics are pristine and sharp. It is lightweight yet has a solid feel to it. The only minor complaint I have is both the L and R speakers are on the right side of the machine, and they are nothing to write home about. But I use headphones most all the time, so its not a bid deal to me.

Great machine great price
No complaints here, very powerful, compact, great screen, it checks all the boxes. Everything worked perfect out of the box. I've always been a fan of ASUS products and I love the U series of laptops (my family has 3) this is another winner. The other commenter complaining about the graphics may not know that integrated graphics use the onboard RAM and as such do not dedicate that memory only use it as needed.

Arrived with a Faulty Battery- Will Return
Switching from an ACER laptop to an ASUS was going to be a good decision in my mind. I believe that my decision has been very misguided. The laptop arrived a couple days after I made the order. I opened it, and immediately ran into a big problem. The battery did not work. After spending many hours trying to fix the problem, I was left where I was before. No matter what I did the battery refused to charge, and whenever I tried to run the system on battery, it would shut off. Additionally I was very angry at the dedicated video memory. I had 128MB on my old laptop, which this was supposed to be a replacement for. I bought this laptop as an upgrade, but it turns out that it was a downgrade. This laptop has 64MB of dedicated video memory, which was hardly enough. I am very very dissapointed, and will be returning this model immediately.
