It broke after 3 days
This was a gift for my mother for Christmas. After about three days of use the laptop would not start up. Sending it back is a hassel, as is having to reload all the software and files that had already been transferred on to the laptop. Other reviews seem to be positive so perhaps I just got a lemon.

An absolute beast!
First off, the graphics card is actually a 7650m, not the 7550m as advertised, but the 7650 is better anyways (6.7 WinExperience graphics scores). The FullHD is great, especially watching blu ray (through an external drive), plus allows for much more on screen. Between the i7 and the 6GB of RAM, this laptop is more than plenty for just about everything. I can't comment on games, as I don't play computer games really, though surely it could handle most out there with relative ease. The 5400RPM HD holds the system back a bit, despite the top notch specs.

Gift for wife
I bought this computer as a gift for Roberta. She seems to like it very much. To me its it seems to be full filling its purpose. I set up the unit for her. This is my first time with windows eight. I love the computer but I am not sure about windows 8. It has the soothes keyboard I have used. She was very happy it was lighted. One of the things that could have been better was making recovery disks. It took me over two hours burn them on the unit. (over 5 dvd disks) I will recommend it as a very good deal for what I paid for it. The computer has quick responsive is fun to use, and I am glad I bought it.
